The business started with the AMEX and HSBC terminals acquiring business at that time that required solutions based on POS NAC (POS Network access controllers), EDC POS authorizing devices and Hardware Security modules. Even since that, DMSE got involved in expansion of the cards business to other local banks, banks in Maldives and also cross boarder cards acquiring business. DMSE also pioneered Sri Lanka’s first loyalty program (NEXUS) in 2002, which is a product still active to date. We also got involved in implementing South East Asia’s first PIN based debit (Maestro) and Cirrus in 1998 with Samapth Bank. DMSE also implemented Sri Lanka’s first open architecture based (Intel platform with Linux and Oracle) ATM switch in 1999 at Sampath Bank.

Card Payment Solutions : DMSE can provided end to end solution from EDC POS credit card terminals, Network Communication Controllers (NCC), POS terminal message encryption solution, Hardware security modules, WAN and LAN communication network channel link encryptors, EMV card personalisation solutions, 3D Secure applications and software for payment cards business (ATM switch / Card Management Systems). Loyalty Solutions : DMSE offer customised loyalty solutions to the banking industry primarily to complement cards business and secondarily for independent retail chains and retail market segments. Multi-Channel / Multi Factor Centralised Authentication server : The solution is targeted to institutions who have enabled their customers to interact with them over internet (internet banking), phone (phone banking / IVR), EDI (payment instruction processing), SMS banking, etc where customers are authenticated using a password / PIN. Generally such islands of applications will have their own user credential / password management mechanisms where the users will either maintain separate passwords for the separate systems or they will change the passwords in all the systems to have the same password. In such systems, the password management (re-issue, reset, block) is a task intensive and risky operation (having to ensure that all systems are changed (by the user or the administrator) when a password is compromised or forgotten.The Centralised Authentication server ensures that a single customers’ credentials are only maintained in this central server. All existing applications and any future applications will communicate (based on agreed DLLs) to the central authentication server (Multi-Channel).The Multi Factor feature enables the institution to define different authentication factors (password, grid cards, One Time Password, Challenge response tokens, EMV CAP Authentication) to different customers such that the customers with high risk interactions (funds transfers) can be give a more secure factor (OTP or challenge response token) while customers with less risky interactions (information retrieval only) can be given a simple password.
